Have you ever wondered what and where have or helped us get scientific facts? Well today I’m here to talk about one of the many things that have led to a good amount of discoveries. I’m talking about a telescope.
The telescope was made in the early 16 hundreds and it at first consisted of a concave eyepiece that was aligned with another convex object lens. But as time passed and many people found out about the telescope they began to improve it. People such as Galileo Galilee. He worked on it and got his magnification up to 20 times larger. It was then improved more.
How does or did the telescope contribute to today?
One of the very first things we have discovered while using the telescope is the fact that the planets do not revolve around the earth but rather than the sun. The telescope has also helped us discover the craters we have on our very own moon. As we learned more about the telescope and used it more we used it to help us see the weather and geography of other planets. Another thing is it helped us discover new planets and asteroids. While those are important there are multiple other things important with the telescope. The telescope has helped us make our first valid measurement of light and with the help of it we now understand gravity. Those things are just a few things that the telescope helped with.
How does the telescope contribute to today?
With modern telescopes we have found evidence of billions of galaxies or stars. While other new telescopes allow us to study objects in our universe by detecting the heat or radio waves or x-rays they admit. Since we have the telescope we have now had the opportunity to see planets around the other stars.
We have created the telescope for a good reason and it shows. We have found a variety of things that have really helped us through the years. Without the telescope we could of been lost and living lies for years. But since we have it. I got showed us the truth and way. The telescope is just one of many inventions from the 16th century.
